Because the smoothies are not consumed as part of a whole weight loss diet.

Just adding one smoothie to your daily diet will not make you lose weight.

If anything it will make you GAIN weight.

This is because you carried on eating the normal foods that caused you to gain weight in the first place. Then you added even more calories to your diet!

The main factor that causes you to lose weight is simply to consume less calories than you burn.

So if you add more food to your existing diet – you will gain weight, even though the calories came from a very health source.

People always talk about smoothies being the magic bullet to weight loss. And they can be – but only if you use them in the correct way.

The main reason why smoothies are great for weight loss is not necessarily because they are so healthy.

Yes health can play a big role in your body’s ability to lose weight.

If you have health problems, your metabolism is sluggish and you have no energy for exercise, this can cause your system to shut down and hang on to weight.

So eating healthy foods CAN help you lose weight.

But it’s not guaranteed.

Because even if you start consuming healthy fruit and veg in your smoothies, you still are probably likely to be eating too many calories for weight loss.

It makes weight loss a guessing game if you don’t factor in calories.

The reason why it is much easier to lose weight with smoothies is simply because if you are REPLACING some of your existing calories with smoothies, you will end up feeling fuller for longer with less calories and less fat.

It is the lowering of the calories that is responsible for the weight loss.

Here’s the true secret to losing weight with smoothies…

You need to replace your existing MEALS with smoothies.

AND you need to make sure those smoothie meals are low enough in calories to actually guarantee your body starts to drop the fat.

So this is why I mainly focus on sharing meal replacement smoothies.

It is just too hard to make smoothies in between your existing meals and still expect to lose weight.

We are all busy and we want fast results for our efforts.

If you want to be sure you are definitely going to lose weight you need to make sure your calories are definitely lower than they are right now.

And if you’re worried about counting calories – you don’t need to be.

I love counting calories and planning how my smoothie recipes can meet all your daily nutritional requirements.

So you can rest assured that all of the smoothies I am sharing here today are low enough in calories to actually make you lose weight.

And best of all, they are nutritionally complete, which means you have all your nutritional needs covered and you should get your energy and health back pretty soon.

If you want to be very precise about your weight loss, you will need to know how many calories YOUR body needs to eat each day to lose weight. Then you can fit the already calorie counted meals into your diet.

Your entire week’s worth of calorie consumption makes the difference between you losing 1-2 pounds and not losing anything at all.

So you have to be dedicated to a smoothie diet that lasts the entire week to see results.

So here’s what I suggest you do:

  1. Replace your breakfast with one of the smoothies below
  2. Replace your lunch with one of the smoothies below. Most of my recipes serve 2 so you can make one batch and drink half for breakfast and half for lunch.
  3. Replace your dinner with a low calorie meal around 400-600 calories such as a raw food lunch like this.

If you stick to this all week, you should see fantastic results.
