anyway you can fill a greenhouse water tank directly? - GIANTS Software (2024)

I was experimenting on a map with greenhouses

I put down several small greenhouses and then a water trigger (mod) and a water hydrant (mod)
then I tried to fill the water tank that's attached to the greenhouse but I couldn't get it to fill.

I then checked the mods both the water trigger and water hydrant and it just says a source of freshwater to fill your tanks.
I'm assuming here that tanks is the keyword.

I'm wondering if I could place a greenhouse then a small water tank besides that and then a water hydrant besides that.

fill up my tank with the hydrant then fill up my greenhouse from the tank. Has anyone tried this?
I'm trying to "direct plumb" water into my greenhouse tanks.

I'm going to be doing a large greenhouse operation.

I think it's going to take a specific mod because the greenhouse tank seems to expect to be triggered by an overload operation.

I've got 6 large greenhouses. I now use the large 30k litre tanker, filled up at a lake. The water there is no cost. Then twice a day I move water from the tanker to the greenhouses using the 7k litre tanker. Filling twice a day is usually only one tanker load each time, so it's not a time consuming job. Then every 2-3 days a visit to the lake with the big one.

Where are you getting the 30 liter tanker? I can’t find it.

Do you have to the land where the lake/river is on to fill up your tank?

1) Probably a mod.

2) I took water out of the state park lake, LOL!! You just need to back far enough in to get the back of the trailer in the water. I don't think the swimmers minded - they were further out.

don't buy water will cost so much find a river or pond try filling up this mod

It's a base-game trailer under the tools/ animals tab. Requires a dolly.

I use the lake in southern half of Haut -Beyleron.

Take trailer in parallel to lake edge. You just need to touch the water with a trailer wheel.

Are you referring to something like this? I have it, but haven't turned it on yet to see if it works as advertised.

I currently have 10 Large greenhouses producing lettuce. So that means I need 128l /hr / greenhouse. One large tank should able to support 15 large greenhouses based on what is advertised.
