The solution for compact designs

With a size of just 18 mm x 26 mm, the mini version of the VM-017 can be used wherever space is limited. The phyCAM-M connector enables direct interchangeability with VM-017-M and other PHYTEC board-level cameras with MIPI CSI-2 interface.

Precise centering holes simplify the adjustment of the camera module during assembly. The VM-117 is optionally available with a high-quality M12 lens holder, which also ensures optimized heat dissipation. Complete service: Let us offer you the right lens with assembly service at the same time.

Outstanding image quality

The AR0521 sensor from OnSemiconductor is characterized by its high low-light performance and backside illumination technology. The 5 megapixel camera supports various sub-resolutions such as Full HD, HD and VGA directly in the sensor through scaling and cropping.

The camera module is available with a monochrome or color sensor. The wide temperature range and long-term availability enable the design of professional embedded vision solutions.

The phyCAM-M interface transmits the MIPI CSI-2 data in the highest signal quality. phyCAM-M is EMC-optimized and offers additional functions such as trigger and strobe in the same cable.

A miniature board level camera module that can be deployed into various applications is often also referred to as an embedded camera or embedded vision component in the same way – and completely correctly – as are complex systems incorporating a camera module, a processing unit with mainboard and system on module and ...

What is a board level camera? ›

With a wide range of models that include 2 – 12 megapixel cameras, the Board Level Cameras can meet a variety of imaging application needs. These cameras have been designed with embedded systems in mind, with a flush back and connectors for cables on the side to minimize the space required for vision systems.

What is the difference between machine vision and embedded vision? ›

The difference between the two lies primarily in image processing capabilities and size: embedded vision systems deliver compact efficiency, and conventional machine vision systems provide high-performance and versatility.

What does a vision camera do? ›

They provide spatial information about the objects or scenes they capture, allowing for the analysis and processing of the images to extract valuable data for inspection and quality control applications. These 2D cameras can vary in resolution, pixel size, sensor type, frame rate and connectivity options.

What is the digital camera for blind people? ›

Blindtouch is to enrich the lives of people who are blind and to give them the possibility of exploring the world. We want them to start sightseeing and just to enjoy the views of photos taken by themselves.

What is a board camera? ›

Board cameras are a type of digital camera that have their optical recording devices--aperture, lens, and image sensor--directly attached to a printed circuit board with typical input/output. As such, most board cameras are small in size—registering just 1/3" in lens diameter.

What is a tailboard camera? ›

A tailboard camera is a view camera with bellows and rear focusing: such a camera is focused by sliding (or racking) the rear standard forward and backward on the base, until the image on the ground glass screen is sharp.

Do you need your own camera for a level photography? ›

Yes. You will need your own camera. We recommend a DSLR and we stock the Canon 4000D but you can buy any model you like however if you would like to loan our lenses then you would need a Canon camera. We suggest you look for good quality second-hand camera rather than buying brand new.

What is embedded computer vision? ›

Embedded vision systems perform many of the same tasks as machine vision but combine all the hardware and software components – image capture, processing, interpretation, and output – into one edge computing device. These systems are compact, and usually consist of a camera mounted directly onto an image processor.

Is machine vision expensive? ›

Ten years ago, machine vision systems cost $40,000 to $60,000, while today they run in the $5,000 to $20,000 range.

What is 3D machine vision? ›

3D machine vision captures the depth of a target object to generate a three-dimensional map (X, Y, Z), or point cloud, for analysis.

What is the embedded system in a camera? ›

In the context of cameras, an embedded system manages functions such as image processing, autofocus, exposure, and picture stabilization. It is made up of hardware components such as microprocessors and memory, as well as software applications customized to the needs of the camera.

What is depth vision camera? ›

Depth cameras are specialized devices that determine the distance between themselves and a target or between two entities. They play a pivotal role in various applications, from autonomous vehicles to facial recognition, enhancing accuracy and safety.

What is vision camera on Iphone? ›

Vision Camera allows you to capture images for business/insurance claims and underwriting purposes. The Vision Camera app makes it seamless for you to document your property, with one-click login via smart link, streamlined image capture, and the ability to comment, export, and share your photos.
